Are you a creative student with a passion for social media? Do you dream of seeing your content featured on the University of Miami’s flagship social channels? If so, the Cane Creator Program is for you!

We’re looking for motivated, innovative students to join our social media team and help shape the online voice of the U. As a Cane Creator, you’ll get hands-on experience working behind the scenes with our professional social media team, while building your portfolio and enhancing your resume. This is your chance to have your creativity showcased across our Instagram and TikTok accounts, while gaining real-world experience that sets you apart!

What You’ll Do

  • Create up to 2 pieces of content per week, including photography and short-form video for Instagram reels and TikTok
  • Attend a bi-weekly meeting to brainstorm, collaborate, and get insights from the social media team
  • Bring your ideas to life and see your work featured on the University of Miami’s flagship social media accounts

Program Perks

  • Work closely with the University of Miami’s social media team and learn the ins and outs of managing high-profile brand accounts
  • Build a professional portfolio that will boost your post-graduation job prospects

How to Apply

If you’re a current University of Miami student with a GPA of 3.0 or above and a passion for content creation, you’re eligible to apply. We’re looking for students who are enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to dive into the world of social media.

  1. Complete the application form with your personal details and GPA
  2. Submit work samples that showcase your creative skills and social media talent
  3. Once selected, you’ll join the team for a year-long program starting in the Fall 2026 semester!
